Divide Overlapping Areas

The tool is provided for dividing the overlapping polygon features by medial line of the overlapping area.

If the input layer contains overlapping polygons, then for each overlapping area the medial line is defined. The found medial line becomes a new boundary of the overlapping polygons.

Overlapping area is divided by medial line.
As a result the polygons’ shapes are modified according to the medial line form.

Attributes configuring

The tool allows transferring the input features IDs to features of the output layers. This ID may be used for setting up the correspondence between input and output features.

To transfer the ID, the Field ID option should be enabled.
