Make Layers the Only Selectable

Purpose

The new feature provides prompt and convenient way to make layers selected in table of contents of active map the only selectable. Besides, there is an option to make all layers selectable with just a mouse click.

Description

Working with maps containing a large number of layers it is not very convenient to make a layer selectable, using list by selection. It is required to constantly switch between the two tabs in table of contents and scroll in each tab for the needed layers.

Make Layers the Only Selectable tool allows to make one or more layers selected in table of contents the only selectable, or make all layers selectable a lot faster, with just one or two mouse clicks and without using the List by Selection tab. The new feature is available from the XTools Pro ribbon or from the layers context menu (for one, several or group layers selected in the table of contents).

Usage

Select one or more layers in the table of contents and click on the Selected Layers button on the XTools Pro ribbon (or select Make Layers the Only Selectable command from the layers context menu). Then selected layers will become the only selectable.

Same way, click on the All Layers button (Make All Layers Selectable command) on the XTools Pro ribbon, then all layers in the table of contents will become selectable.

Note

Make Layers the Only Selectable and Make All Layers Selectable commands work with data in the active map only.
